Drywall Contractor Insurance
Drywall claims show up after the paint: a moisture problem blamed on the hang, a cracked finish after a building move, or a GC who says your additional-insured wording does not match Exhibit B. Completed operations and contract language matter as much as the truck.
We place hanging and finishing contractors who work commercial and light commercial. Washington crews stay with L&I for WA payroll; we place stop-gap and private WC for Oregon, Idaho, and other competitive-state jobs.
Risks we actually schedule
- Completed-operations water and finish-failure claims after you leave the site.
- Additional-insured wording a GC certificate desk will reject.
- Tools and stilts stolen from a job or a van.
- Silica and dust-related employee injury — L&I in WA, private WC elsewhere.
Frequently asked questions
Why do GCs care about completed operations?
Because drywall problems appear after occupancy. Ongoing-operations-only additional insured is not enough on most commercial jobs.
Do I need a license bond in Washington?
Contractor registration in Washington involves bonding. We place the bond with the GL so you are not sent back from the counter.
Are stilts and tools covered on the BOP?
Not once they leave the shop. Buy a tools floater.
