Florist Insurance
A florist is a perishable-inventory retailer with a cooler, a delivery van, and often an off-site wedding setup. Property has to contemplate spoilage after an equipment breakdown. Auto has to contemplate the van. Inland marine has to contemplate the arch you leave at a venue overnight.
We place shopfront florists and studio designers who work from a cooler, not a spare bedroom. If you are mostly events, say so — the off-premises values change.
Risks we actually schedule
- Cooler failure and spoilage of wedding-week inventory.
- Delivery-van accidents and hired/non-owned runs in personal cars.
- Damage to a venue or a guest during an event setup.
- Theft of product and coolers after hours.
Frequently asked questions
Will a BOP pay for flowers lost when the cooler dies?
Only if spoilage and equipment breakdown are actually on the form at a useful limit. Many packages include a token number. We raise it for wedding-week values.
Do I need commercial auto for one van?
Yes, if it is titled to the shop or used primarily for deliveries.
Are wedding setups covered away from the shop?
Premises GL does not automatically follow a Saturday install. We add off-premises and, when needed, a special-event or inland-marine structure.
