IT and Computer Services Insurance

IT firms sell access, implementation, and advice. The claim is a missed backup, a botched migration, or a client who says your remote access was the hole in their network. Technology E&O and cyber are the pair; a office BOP is the furniture.

We place managed-service and break-fix shops, implementation consultants, and small software-service firms. If you host customer production systems, say so — the cyber and E&O limits move.

Risks we actually schedule

  • A client alleging your work caused downtime or data loss.
  • A breach that started in a tool you administer.
  • Social-engineering on a client’s funds while you had privileged access.
  • Hardware in transit or at a client site that a office policy never covered.

Frequently asked questions

Is technology E&O the same as cyber?

No. E&O is the professional-services claim. Cyber is the security-and-privacy event, first- and third-party. Many IT firms need both, and some forms package them — we still read the grants.

We only do break-fix. Do we need E&O?

Yes. A botched repair that takes a dental office down for a week is an E&O claim.

Do client contracts’ indemnities matter?

They decide whether your E&O is even allowed to respond the way you promised. Send the paper we will be certificating to.
