Lawn Care Insurance

Lawn-care routes look simple until a trailer disconnects on the arterial, a mower throws a rock, or a fertilizer application browns a custom lawn. The file is commercial auto, a equipment floater, GL with a real pesticide/herbicide/fertilizer grant if you treat, and payroll in the right workers-comp system.

We place route-based lawn-care operators. If you have crossed into landscape construction, irrigation excavation, or tree work, our landscaping page is the better chassis and we will move you.

Risks we actually schedule

  • Thrown-object and mower damage to customer property or a passing car.
  • Chemical turf claims if you treat, and a GL pollution exclusion if you do not endorse it.
  • Trailer and truck auto claims on tight residential routes.
  • Seasonal crew injury — L&I in Washington, private WC in competitive states.

Frequently asked questions

We only mow, we do not spray. Do we still need a pollution endorsement?

If you truly never apply chemicals, maybe not. The moment you add a weed-and-feed, you do. Tell us the honest split.

Is a pickup on a personal policy enough?

Not if it tows a trailer of mowers for a business. Title, use, and the trailer belong on commercial auto.

Do HOA contracts require additional insured?

Almost always, plus a waiver. Send the exhibit.
